♫ The Music ♫
Changing Your Demeanor is a bouncy tune that will set your feet a-dancing:
“In the evening in the company
with music in the key of E
You’ll be dancing Kerry sets until the morning.”

Good on ye if you can keep up with the words in The Chieftains’ version!

These toe-up socks begin with a barn toe which uses varying rates of increases that mimic the shape of a barn roof. A great on to try if you’re looking for that perfect fit!

  • The cable stitch pattern is worked on the instep as well as the back and front of the leg.
  • The sole is worked in Stockinette stitch.
  • The gusset increases are worked at the centre of the sole and the heel is turned using a short row heel cap which means no picking up stitches.
  • The heel flap is worked in a standard slipped stitch pattern.
  • The ribbing height varies to accommodate the stitch pattern.

Both charts and written directions for charts are included.

Knitters need to be able to read their knitting, i.e. identify knit and purl stitches as they present themselves, to work Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off or use an alternate stretchy bind off.
