Chaordic Mitts by Jennifer Adair

Chaordic Mitts

Overview
These fingerless mitts are great stash busters. They are knit flat with rows running from wrist to fingertip. Both mitts are knit at one time, using a 3-needle bind off to join the edges. Thumb and fingertip cuffs are worked in the round to finish.

Steeks
Mitts may be steeked by joining at the fingertips, which makes the knitting much faster, with less yarn management to do. The ebook contains a tutorial for working a steek.

Pattern Details
The mitts are worked using chaordic knitting techniques for the body. There are three models included with detailed row-by-row directions. There are also do-it-yourself instructions that allow the knitter to design the chaordic fabric while knitting.

Skill Level
Skill level is experienced because of short rows, otherwise it is easy.

Yarn
Yarn is either worsted weight or sock to lace held 2-3 strands together. Average combined yarn for a row is worsted.

Needles
4.5mm/US7 to 5mm/US8 interchangeable circulars 32” (80cm) long with a second cable_16” (40cm) long with end caps
