This pattern is for a chapstick holder with a charm hanging below, and a clasp for attaching to bags on top. Aside from the yarn and hook, a swivel clasp hook with 1” D ring is required. (This may be substituted with a typical key chain key ring, but will be more difficult to attach to bags.) This pattern also calls for a charm, but this step may be skipped and the project can have a smooth bottom.

Additional Gauge Information: 4 stitches across should be about 3/4 inch, and 3 rows up should be about 1/2 inch. What’s more important is that a chapstick should be able to fit snugly within the holder. If it’s too small, a chapstick won’t fit, and if it’s too large, the chapstick may fall out. You can check your sizing after a few rounds of the length of the holder using the end of a chapstick.
