Puddles buried this pattern - pattern is retired.

Designed for my adopted grandmother, but appropriate for adults of all ages, Charleston Surf combines Stockinette stitch and short rows reflecting ocean waves as they splash onto the beach. A hybrid of triangular and crescent shawls, the shaping is an intentional feature so as to stay on without muss and fuss or the need of a shawl pin. Wear it draped over your shoulders or with one end thrown around your neck as you take to the sandy shores. This pattern is a great opportunity for testing different short row methods and discovering your favorite!

Through the months of medical treatment my adopted grandmother and I bonded as we celebrated each little victory and encouraged one another through each regression. For the full story behind the design, check out my project page.

Tech edited and test knit easy level pattern includes written directions and schematics.
