These little buddies are knit all in one piece, and then some clever sewing gives them shape. Because they don’t have any small parts, they are perfect for babies.

Additional, optional instructions for a sweatered bear, a kitty and a monkey are provided following the main pattern. Glossary and links to helpful technique videos are included.

Techniques required: increasing and decreasing, three needle bind off or kitchener stitch, mattress stitch, applied i-cord (for monkey option only), duplicate stitch or simple embroidery, sewing running stitch.

Finished bear measures approximately 6.5” tall.

Materials needed:

  • For single color bear: approximately 60 yards worsted weight yarn
  • Scraps of yarn in color desired for nose and eyes, or embroidery thread
  • Blunt needle
  • Stuffing
