The starting block and instructions are free on the crawl website. This pattern includes the starting block, instructions, and all 11 blocks from the various stores. Proceeds from the sales of this complete pattern will be donated to support breast cancer research.

This MKAL is knit with a combination of 12 blocks: a starting block, and one unique block from each of the 11 shops that participated in the Charlotte Area Yarn Crawl. The 12 blocks in this lovely, lacy shawl can be combined in well over a million permutations, and that’s before considering the different yarns available! Your shawl is almost certain to be unique!

We recommend a single-ply fingering weight yarn for this project. Our sample was knit using Neighborhood Fiber Co. Rustic Fingering. This pattern is perfect for a gradient, semi-solid or solid colorway; it will not show as well in variegated colorways.

This pattern includes charts as well as the corresponding written instructions for the lace.
