The Charlotte Poncho Knitting Pattern

This pattern includes sizes for Doll, Newborn, 6m-1y, 2-4y, 5-7y, 8-10y and 11-13y.
Knit your child a poncho PLUS a doll sized poncho for their favorite friend to match!

This advanced beginner pattern is worked in two panels (front and back), from bottom to top. Seamed at the shoulder with the choice of two neck options, a cowl neck and a crew neck.

GAUGE:
In Garter Stitch - 22 sts x 32 rows = 4” (10cm)
In Cabled Pattern - 32 sts x 29 rows = 4” (10cm)

FIBER:
Bulky weight (#5 Bulky)
Suggested fiber: Cascade Yarns Eco+ (100% Peruvian Highland wool; 478yd 437m/8.82oz 250g).
Yardage used for each size: 176yd (301yd, 536yd, 681yd, 899yd, 1126yd, 1369yd).

SUPPLIES:
US 7/4.5mm needles (adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge).
Cable needle.
Tapestry needle.
2 Buttons.
NOTE: Pattern has two neck options (Cowl or Crew Neck style). Pattern can be worked on straight needles, EXCEPT if you choose to knit the Crew Neck style, then you will need 16” circular needles (or larger if using Magic Loop Method), as the Crew Neck style is worked in the round.
