This close-fitting tank is accented by a braided cable; extra rows on each cable cross give the cable added depth. A demure high neck in front is contrasted by a deeply cut out upper back; hem sits just above the hip. This top can be worn backwards if you are feeling adventurous!

SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate: Skills include reading charts,
cables, and short rows. See Techniques section
beginning on page 146 for a photo tutorial on
working short rows.

Shown in size S with -1 1/2”/4 cm ease. Intended to fit with
-2”/5 cm to +2”/5 cm ease at bust.

PATTERN NOTES
• Worked in the round to the armholes; short
rows shape front neckline
• All edgings are self-finished
• Instructions for cable stitch patterns are
given in written and chart form
• Because the number of decreases required
to shape the cutout back increases with each
size, in larger sizes the end of the braided
cable falls higher on the back, meaning that
the front takes on more of a halter silhouette
