Maie began to knit this shawl in a simple lace pattern, interchanging the colorways. The pattern is now legendary among knitters. The shawl uses five different variegated colorways, each one eased into the next. You may decide to knit some colorways wider than others. There are many color choices.

Note on Yarn Requirements:
Original pattern calls for 1 skein each of KPPPM in colorways P319L, P117, P314L, P105L, and P605

Other Materials: Pattern also requires a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook to add the fringe
