The Chartres Cardigan is a seamless cardigan which is knit top-down. The buttonband is knit at the same time as the rest of the garment so absolutely no seaming is required. It is a classic fit, designed to be worn with approximately 2 - 4”/ 5 - 10cm of ease. The cardigan features a classic v-neck and is high hip length with instructions for shortening or lengthening if desired. A romantic style, simple but with some sleeve drama, it can be dressed up or down and looks equally good over dresses or ripped jeans. Chartres would be a great first cardigan or first set in sleeve design due to its simple stocking stitch texture.

XXS (XS, S) M (L, XL) 2X (3X, 4X)
To fit a bust circumference of APPROXIMATELY:
28 (32, 36) 40 (44, 48) 52 (56, 60) inches
71 (81, 91) (101, 112) 122 (132, 142) 152 cm

FINISHED CLOSED CARDIGAN BUST CIRCUMFERENCE:

The size guidelines above will give you approximately 2”/ 5cm positive ease.
If you want a slightly looser fitting cardigan choose the size 2 inches bigger than your own bust circumference. For example if you have a 36”/ 91 cm bust and you want 4” / 10cm of ease choose the size M rather than the S.
