ABOUT

The Chasing Waves Tank is a breezy, beach-ready companion pattern to the original Chasing Summer Tank. This version features the same side-to-side construction but with elegant vertical eyelet stitching. The slinky, airy fabric makes the perfect piece for hot summer days, whether layered over swimwear or paired with your favorite warm-weather outfits. With built-in bust shaping, an adjustable neckline seam, step-by-step tutorial photos, and plenty of modification options sprinkled throughout, this pattern is designed to help create your perfect fit.

This is a #SizeInclusive pattern.

PATTERN NOTES

Skill Level: Intermediate

Sizing: This tank top is written in nine sizes as follows: XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). Make sure to follow the numbers for your size only.

Stitch Counts: Stitch counts are listed after each row/round. If no stitch count is given, there has been no change since the previous row/round. If only one number is provided, it applies to all sizes.

Right Side/Wrong Side: While each individual panel is reversible, there is a right side (RS) and wrong side (WS) to this shirt once it is seamed together since the finishing details (straps, borders) are worked on the RS. You will be instructed to designate a RS in the pattern.

Turning Chain: The turning chain counts as a stitch for most of this pattern. Each beginning ch-3 counts as 1 dc and each beginning ch-4 counts as (1 dc+1 ch). The beginning ch-1 for the single crochet rows when completing the straps does not count as a stitch.

Construction: The front of this top is worked in two identical pieces that get seamed together along the center-front. After seaming these pieces together, the back panel is worked directly onto your front piece, including the back-shaping onto which your straps will attach. The straps are worked last.
