Erratum: End of Edging Round 1 should read “sl st in next 3 st, sl st in first 2 sl st of round.” (Round end overlaps round beginning.)

The small and stylish Chattermark Bag features textured stitches, a front decorative cable panel, fabric lining, and simple button-and-loop closure. Slip stitch edging and a crocheted I-cord strap echo the look of the cables. This fun project works up quickly in bulky yarn.

Bag is worked from the bottom up in spiral rounds. Sample bag used 1 skein of Wool of the Andes Bulky.

This pattern is part of the book Live Loop Cables in Crochet, which uses an innovative technique to create I-cord like cables on the fabric surface. Patterns were tech edited by Amy Daraghy (GreenHook on Rav).

Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting!
