The reversible design was achieved by alternating rows of brown and off-white, using a combination of sc and long hdc which are worked into the previous row. The long hdc are worked with one color on odd rows and the contrasting color on even rows creating the reversible effect. A length of yarn is left at each end on all the rows for the fringe. Skill Level: Easy.

Finished Size:
46-1/2” wide x 58-1/2” long plus fringe

Gauge:
Working in pattern:
14 sts = 4”
18 rows = 4”

Approximately 1750 yards of each color are needed to complete this afghan.

The original afghan (pictured) was made using Red Heart TLC Ultrasoft, worsted weight, 3-ply yarn, in 5 oz. skeins: 9 skeins each of Dark Sage and Light Sage were used to complete the afghan. The afghan was remade in brown and off-white for the publication.
