Punch up your home decor with a new throw pillow!

This geometric checkerboard pillow is knit flat, then seamed. The knitting couldn’t be simpler - it just alternates wide and thin stripes of color. But the finishing touches - applied crochet that makes the vertical lines and an applied i-cord around the seams - help stretch your skills and keep things interesting. Video tutorials are included for the applied crochet chain, applied i-cord, and how to graft the i-cord into a circle. There is also a link to an illustrated article on how to seam your knits, in case that is an unfamiliar skill.

The Yarn:
This pillow uses the Croissant Sock yarn 4-color gradient in the “Neutrals“ colorway from the KimDyesYarn Etsy Shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/KimDyesYarn) • 4 oz / 560 yds • 4 mini skeins • approx 140 yds of each color.

Other Materials:
• US Size 3 / 3.25mm needles
• US Size 3 / 3.25mm dpns
• One 14” X 14” throw pillow form
• Yarn needle
• Size D / 3mm crochet hook (optional)
