This is a pattern to make toys as seen in the pic. It’s a beginner friendly pattern, at least you know how to crochet basic stitches (MR, ch, sc, inc, dec, FLO, BLO, ss/slst, FO). If you don’t know them, you can find the tutorial in youtube by typing them in search.
You can use any type/size yarn. It’ll be different in size of the result.
I used small ply cotton yarn with hook no. 4 . The result is about 8-9 cm tall for the ghost and 4-5 cm tall for the pumpkin.
