Cheese Rat Scarf
Face winter with two new little friends, and their food source, with the Cheese Rat Scarf.
You’ll have access to two PDFs, one being a printable version, that will walk you through how to create your own cheese rat scarf!
Materials needed:
3.5mm crochet hook for the scarf
2mm crochet hook for rats
Yarn needle
Scissors
Yarn for main cheese colour (Y - Yellow)
Yarn for secondary cheese colour (O - Orange)
Yarn for main body of rat on the left (W - White)
Yarn for main body of rat on the right
Yarn for rat ears, feet and tail (P - Pink)
4 safety eyes
Pearl headed pins
I used 4 Seasons Pure Entwine Wool in Yellow (approx 300g) for the main colour of the cheese, and in colour Mustard (approx 150g) for the border and cheese holes. I then used Marvel 8 Ply Acrylic in colours Cream and Grey (approx 20g) for the bodies of the two rats, and Pink (approx 10g) for the rats nose, feet and tails.
Yarn that is thicker or finer than what I have used will result in either a bigger or small scarf.
I recommend doing the gauge swatch, as boring as it is, to make sure your piece won’t come out bigger or smaller than you’re intending!
To make this scarf you’ll need to know how to single crochet, colour change, and how to do cutout crochet. The pattern provides information on how to colour change and do cutout crochet, however!
You can follow the pattern either on stitchfiddle, with the instructions I’ve written, with the graphs provided, or with the written or block instructions - all are provided!

If you have any questions regarding the pattern, please feel free to send me a DM!
There’s no question too big or small!
