Cheetah print has been a hot trend for the last 5 years and I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of it. I wanted to write an easy knitting pattern with bulky yarn that incorporated animal print into its design. This cowl is knit in the round on 29” US 11 (8 mm) needles and follows a simple colour-work chart for the cheetah print section and has basic 2x2 ribbing on the top and bottom. Put your colour-work skills to use with this easy, fun knitting pattern.

Measurements
This cowl measures approx. 16” wide laying flat and 12.5” tall.

Yardage
Main Colour: Fisherman - 2 skeins or 120 yds
Contrasting Colour 1: Black - 1 skein or 35 yds
Contrasting Colour 2: Peanut - 1 skin or 20 yds

You can easily sub in any other bulky weight yarn for this pattern of any fiber content.

Notes
Cowl is knit using stranded colourwork, creating floats in the back of your work (the inside of the cowl). Catch your floats every 5 or 6 stitches and keep these loose! Your cowl may look puckered around the cheetah spots before blocking and this is normal. Simply wet block your finished cowl and these will completely flatten out if you keep your floats loose behind your work.
