Chekov Cowl
Chekov is a cowl that I love! It is knit sideways in a textured, block step stitch pattern. This is not your standard basket weave pattern. The top edge of the cowl has a faux I-cord that is worked as you knit the cowl. Increase in steps to the middle and decrease back down again. The back edges can be seamed or buttoned to close. You’ll need 120 yards of worsted weight yarn and size 7/4.5mm knitting needles for this project. If you add a buttonhole, you will need a button that fits the buttonhole. It is easy to change the size or make into a shawl with tips included in the pattern. The 4 page pattern has written row instructions.
