The Chelsea Beanie is all about the details. With a few simple techniques, the double ribbing in the brim transitions smoothly onto single ribbing, meaning when the hat is stretched out when wearing it, there aren’t awkward shifts in the lines.

Knitted in the round from the bottom up, we will start with constructing the brim, then upwards in single ribbing before shaping the crown.

Chunky yarn not only makes this hat beginner-friendly and super quick to finish, but also lets the hat hold shape and give it a pointy tip — which is another detail I love.
