Inspired by Cheria Barnes from the video game Tales of Graces, the Cheria Cowl combines lace and texture with a warm yak blend fiber to create a great accessory that’s both fashionable and functional. Wear it anywhere, anytime, and let it spice up your outfit with minimal effort!

Cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is worked flat. It can be easily adjusted lengthwise and widthwise. Just knit until you reach your desired size or run out of yarn! (Make sure you leave enough yarn for the 3-needle BO, though.) If you don’t want to work the provisional CO, a long-tail CO is fine. You’ll just need to pick up sts from the CO edge to complete the 3-needle BO.

Gauge is not critical but will affect your yardage. You may find that you need more or less yarn to reach the suggested size.

Materials: Size 6/4.0mm straight needles plus a spare needle for the BO (or size needed to make gauge), sewing needle for weaving in ends, crochet hook and waste yarn for provisional CO.

Sample shown used 2 skeins of yarn, alternated every 2 rows to avoid color pooling. I used approximately 375 yards total, so if you’re a loose knitter or want a longer cowl, you may want to pick up a third skein just to be safe.
