Chérie top is knitted from the top down. After CO, stitches are increased on both shoulder lines and at the center of the front. The increases at the center front create a gentle V-neck. Once the shoulders are completed, the front and back are worked separately to form the armholes, then the rest of the body is worked around and knit until your desired length. Before finishing, the German short rows are used at the back to make it longer.
The lace panels on the shoulders and underarms can be worked with or without nupps. For the nupps option, instructions are given for working nupps every 4 rounds (sample 1 has nupps every 8 rounds, sample 2 has nupps every 4 rounds). You can choose to finish the hem with ribbing as in SAMPLE 1, or with an A-line drape as in SAMPLE 2. If you choose an A-line hem, I recommend using a yarn that drapes well, such as linen, viscose, or alpaca.
For the sleeves, you have ribbed or ruffled sleeves to choose from. If you choose neither of them, proceed to finishing.

トップダウンで編むサマートップス. 作り目のあと輪にして, 左右の肩線と前身頃中央で増目して編んでいく. 前身頃中央の増目で緩やかなVネックを形作っている. 肩線の傾斜を編み終わったら, 前身頃と後身頃に分けてそれぞれを往復編みで編む. 袖付丈を編み終わったら, 再度輪にして好みの着丈になるまで編む. 仕上げの前にGSRの引き返し編みを使って, 後ろ身頃の調整をする.
肩と脇下のレースパネルでは, nupps (ナップ編み)の有る無しを選べる. nupps 有りでは4 周ごとに nupps を編む方法を記している(サンプル 1 は 8 周ごとの ナップ編み, サンプル 2 は 4 周ごとの ナップ編み).
裾はサンプル 1 のようにゴム編みのリブで仕上げるか, サンプル 2 のようにAラインのドレープで仕上げるかを選べる. Aラインで仕上げる場合には, ドレープが出やすいリネン, レーヨン, アルパカなどの糸を使うことをおすすめする.
袖はリブかラッフルを選べる. どちらもつけない場合は, 仕上げに進む.
