5mm (US 8) (or size required to get gauge) needles; 1 spare needle of same size for a 3-Needle BO; 4.5mm (US 7) and/or circular needles of 80cm (32”) or longer; 4 to 6 lockable stitch markers; waste yarn for provisional cast on; stitch holders or waste yarn; measuring tape and yarn needle for weaving in and seaming.

Gauge
Gauge in Stockinette stitch: 20 sts by 25 rows over 4” (10cm) square in larger size needles. Blocked.

To fit sizes: XS: 30” (76cm) / S: 34” (86cm) / M: 38” (96.5cm) / L: 42” (106.5cm) / 1XL: 46” (117cm) / 2XL: 50” (127cm) / 3XL: 54” (137cm).

This cardi has a loose gauge and loose fit with no shaping, which allows for the fabric to drape nicely over the body. For best results, choose a yarn with a large percentage of silk or bamboo. Worsted/Heavy Worsted or Aran weight yarns are recommended. There is approx. 4” to 6” (10 to 15cm) of positive ease included in the garment.
