As their name suggests these fingerless mitts are inspired by the fictional cat from Lewis Carroll’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The Cheshire Cat is best remembered for his ability to periodically gradually disappear leaving only his grin.

The pattern uses the technique of double knitting to create a warm, reversible fabric which is perfect for mitts.
Instructions are included for the easiest way to start your double knitting and of course, unlike stranded colourwork, there are no floats to catch.

There are charts included for both the fully visible cat and his disappearing version for you to choose from.

Sizes are S, M and L.

You will need two contrasting colours of fingering weight yarn.
