Cheshire Spring
Striped Cowl-neck Tunic
The inspiration for this jumper came from the fact that for the last two years we have had unseasonably cold beginnings to our spring weather. Just when you feel like abandoning the thick woolly jumpers of winter, along comes another frosty night!
The result was this sleeveless tunic. Whilst allowing plenty of easy knitting, it still maintains interest with some waist shaping, plenty of stripes and a flattering neckline. The cowl neck makes this an easy piece to wear with an undershirt and gives warmth without being too bulky.
The measurements were taken so as to give approximately 2 inches of positive ease as shown in the main picture. However, this is quite a forgiving piece and you can see further photos of the same item worn with 6-8 inches of ease. For those living in the UK, the first photo represents a size 12-14 and the one with more positive ease is worn by a size 8.
Yarn requirements are appr. 930m in total. For the stripy pattern you will require 460m of the brown, 350 of the cream and 120 of the mustard / green colour.
