Strong as a brick wall. Persevering as ice. Sweet as chocolate. Free as wind… Chester pullover is whatever you’d like to be.

This minimalist design has a lightweight and breathable texture with a nice drape and appealing stitch geometry. The double crochet blocs are fun and quick to make. A bar of chocolate, brick wall, ice cubes, waffles or building blocks – what they remind you of? And what color would you pick?

The pullover works great for layering, and looks best over a contrasting shirt or turtleneck. Depending on the used color of yarn, the design is suitable for both men and women. The garment is not fitted and supposed to be worn with 2-4” (5–10 cm) of positive ease. Its length can be easily customized from cropped to mid-thigh, as explained in pattern Notes.

The pullover has a bottom up construction. Its body is worked in joined turned rounds until underarm, and then divided for front and back that are worked flat and seamed on shoulders. The sleeves are worked in the round from the armholes and are seamless, too. Wide slip stitch ribbing on neck and sleeves is added at the end, and you can adjust its width to your liking.

The pattern includes written instructions, charts, schematic, and photos of garment parts and used techniques.
