I used different colors/textures of super bulky yarn to make a “color blocked” cowl. This wrong side of this pattern looks as good as or better than the right side.

CO 24 stitches using provisional cast on. Follow pattern for chevron stitch. For even numbered rows: knit on knit stitches and purl on purl stitches. Repeat the 12 rows until the scarf is desired length. Twist once and graft live stitches to cast on stitches using preferred grafting method (recommend kitchener stitch). Wrong side will be grafted to right side stitches.

Chevron stitch:
ROW 1. p2, k4, p4, k4, p4, k4, p2.
ROW 3. p1,K4, p2, k2, p2, k4, p2, k4, p2, k1.
ROW 5. k4, p2, k4, p2, k8, p2, k2.
ROW 7. K3, p2, k6, p2, k6, p2, k3.
ROW 9. k2, p2, k8, p2, k4, p2, k4.
ROW 11. k1, p2, k4, p2, k4, p2, k2, p2, k4, p1.
