This my first attempt at a written pattern assumes a basic understanding of top down sock construction techniques.

7/22/2010: updated pdf pattern instructions pg 2 “heel flap” for clarification.
WAS: “slip two knitwise rtn to left needle and knit together thru back loops (ssk)
NOW: “slip two knitwise (one at a time) rtn to left needle and knit together thru back loops (ssk)

12/11/2011: oh boy! I just went back to use the TOE in this design on another sock and discovered that I had described it backwards in this original pattern. So, I have updated and uploaded the corrected pdf to describe the decrease rounds such that the decreases lean the correct way on the top and bottom of the left and right edges of the foot. So sorry about that!
