Chevron Shawl
Knit this chevron shawl in the striped pattern shown with just two skeins of luxurious yarn, or show off the geometric stitch pattern by substituting colorful scraps!
This bias-knit triangle starts from a small cast-on and is knit from this narrowest point onward, to be sure you can make the most of your yarn. It’s easy to customize by adding pattern repeats.
The sample is shown in Hedgehog Fibres Oh So Fine in Cinder (MC) and UFO (CC) colorways.
Materials:
- Hedgehog Fibres Oh So Fine, 385m/421 yards of MC (Cinder) and 300m/329 yards of CC (UFO)
- 1 24-36” circular needles in US4/3.5mm, or size needed for gauge, used to work flat
- Two DPNs one size up from size needed for gauge, for applied i-cord finishing
- tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
Gauge is 25 sts and 28 rows over 4”/10cm in chevron pattern, worked flat and blocked.
Measurements:
This shawl measures 54”/1.37m long, and 27.75”/70cm deep at the center-ish point.
This looks so much better without the border that I’m revising the pattern a bit! For now, just—well, feel free to skip the border.
