Please note: this is a temporary pattern. I will update at the end of the year with complete photos and yardage. All you need to knit the pattern is here though!

The main thing I love about temperature knits, is that the striping adds so much interest that there is no need to splurge out on expensive yarns. I’ve still added a few speckled yarns to mine, ones I already had in my stash, but the majority of the colours are solids!

Most people have heard of a temperature blanket, and I tried to knit one last year. However, a blanket is a BIG commitment and I wasn’t able to keep up with it. Knitting a scarf is a much more reasonable and realistic knit to do every day. I also planned out every colour I will need in advance.. a mistake I made with last year’s blanket. As it’s a scarf I intend to wear, I made sure to choose colours I know I will wear, but of course it’s a great way to have fun with colours!

I’ve also included instructions for an eyelet row. Not only does it add some extra interest, but it’s a great way to mark down extra special days. I’m using it to show birthdays and any other days of note, but you can use it for whatever you’d like! You could track your period, the moon cycle, or every day that you laughed, the possibilities are endless!
