This is a pattern for a cute, quick, and easy Pokemon-- Treecko.

He’s part of my expanding collection of chibi Pokémon designs and the next of the starter Pokémon from the Hoenn region.

Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall, and consistent in size with my other pokemon amigurumi.

You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of a Light Green yarn, and smaller amounts of Pink, Green, Yellow and Black yarn, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, and a yarn needle.

Treecko is a quirky one and an unusual shape, but I’m really quite pleased with how he turned out! You’ll need to be able to do a couple odd things, including joining the two head bumps, plenty of color switching, and crocheting a half-circle around a short chain for the eyes. The hands and feet only have the suggestion of fingers and toes, mostly because doing 12 tiny crochet nubbins would take more time than I feel its worth. Like with some of the others, you can opt to use cut felt for the eyes, but I found that yarn actually worked pretty well. All in all, an interesting and pretty fun one!

I hope you enjoy!
