Chicken Potholder Doris
This is my “Doris” crochet pattern. She makes an eye-catching piece, whether she is hanging, laying on a table, placed on top of a pot, or serving as a candle mat. Folded, the completed potholder will be about 8 “ wide by 8” tall (to the top of the head, not including the feet). Doris is made with medium worsted weight (#4) cotton yarn using size H and F crochet hooks.
I love that the body of this pattern is worked with one continuous strand of yarn, then you add the comb, wattle, beak and feet. The puff-stitched body is nice and thick. Her head stands up and her comb is a show stopper!
