This is a typical size potholder or hotpad used to protect your hand and table from the heat of a hot pan. I used 1 2oz. thing of Sugar N Cream crochet cotton for the body and you will need colors for the tail feathers, beak, comb and waddle plus the eye (really if you have a stash of yarn at home the additional colors could be small remaining pieces of yarn from previous projects).
