the chickpea cardigan is called as such as the bobbles reminded me of chickpeas.
the pattern stitch is a bobble stitch which is worked all throughout the cardigan creating chickpea like bobbles.
The cardigan is a dk weight cardigan worked flat and in panels: a back piece and 2 front pieces.

The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and then knit up in the round. The pattern is worked bottom up and decreases are used for the armhole to create a set-in sleeve.

The pieces are seamed together at the sides and the shoulders to create the full cardigan

the pattern has around 10cm/ 4” of positive ease which creates a beautiful oversized look in which you can wrap the cardigan around your body comfortably.
