These delightful pouches are a great way to use up leftover yarn, and kids love them! They are just the right size for special rocks, coins, or small toys. Any worsted weight yarn may be used, but remember that thicker yarn may result it a larger pouch or require a larger crochet hook.

I made the model in Red Heart Classic yarn, and it took at least 40 yards to make the pouch itself and an additional 4+ yards of a contrasting color to make the drawstring. Alternately 1 yard of ribbon or cording may also be used for the drawstring instead of crocheting the string.
