Published originally in the 1918 edition of Fleisher’s Manual of Knitting and Crochet, this warm vest with little cap sleeves would have been ideal for a member of the “downstairs” staff to don on a chilly morning.

The coat is knit in garter stitch with front bands in a knit/purl pattern. The Cosycoat is simple to knit, but there’s a lot happening when knitting the front sleeve, V-neck shaping and buttonholes. It’s helpful to keep track of rows while knitting these sections.
