When we travel, we regularly step into the unexpected. Our habits change, our eyes open wide and we move from new impression to new adventure to new people and new customs. So how about something completely different this time around to complement The Travelling East Collection? Here is Chilsan, the seventh tile in this series.

Each tile in the collection comes with an accompanying triangle (to give you the freedom to use your squares as diamonds in cushions or blankets). It also comes with an original design to showcase the many possibilities we have to turn these tiles into different type of objects.

The design accompanying the Chilsan tile is a cowl. This cowl is not made by crocheting individual squares and joining them together, but worked in one piece, bottom up and in the round, repeating the tile pattern several times. The resulting design is surprising. The tile is there, yet the lines seem to travel to their own destinations. Three different charts as well as written instructions are included in this pattern, one for the tile, one for the triangle and yet another one for the cowl. Enjoy!
