Chinese egg tarts are slightly sweet with a flaky pastry. There’s nothing like going to dim sum and having one of these to finish off your morning. So to add to all the cute food I’ve been trying to make, I thought this would be a sweet little tart for all those amigurumi crafters.

The tart is worked in continuous rounds, no slip stitch at the beginning to join. You can embroider a face if you like. I’m not so great at them so I just have two beads for eyes and a little marker for blush on the cheeks.

Gauge is not important. It’s a stuffed toy. Vary your hook size and yarn for smaller or bigger tarts.

This is my first time writing up a crochet pattern so I hope it makes sense. Please message me if you find any problems. Thanks!
