Chinese Waves is a cute boxy top that is knit sideways in two pieces. Then it is seamed at the shoulders, the armhole bands are picked up and knitted, then it is seamed at the sides. The wavy rib pattern makes a nice border at the neck and hemline. Using cotton yarn makes this a nice top for warm weather. This top could also be used as a beach cover-up.

Finished measurements: 20 (24, 28, 32) inches wide OR 51 (61, 71, 81 cm), to fit a bust of 36 (44, 52, 60) inches OR 91 (112, 132, 152) cm with 4” (10cm) positive ease.

Yarn: I used Bernat Softee Baby, 4.2 oz (120g) 254 yds (232m), 3 (4, 4, 5) balls. Color: petal pink.

Needles: US 7 (4.5mm)

Skill level: fairly advanced, you need some knowledge of doing lace patterns as this pattern is worked on both right and wrong sides.

The pattern is both charted and written out.
