This shawl pattern, inspired by shipbreaking on the beaches of Chittagong in Bangladesh, is the first in my Container Ship club.

The club will feature four patterns released over the next six months. Patterns will include one large shawl, one smaller shawl, a cowl, and a cardigan. The club might grow to include more accessory patterns as this idea develops.

Each of the club patterns will be knit in an indie dyer’s yarn. That yarn, in the colors I used, will be available for special order from the indie dyer for three weeks after the pattern is released, so you can choose to purchase the yarn I used or to substitute.
