Chloe Coaster
Chloe is the nickname of the Greek goddess Demeter, the goddess of the earth, seeds, and seasons. And since these colorful coasters beautify our garden table at home, I decided on this name.
In this pattern, I’ll show you how to crochet the simple coaster shown above. This is one of my favorite projects to take on the go (small and portable), and it also makes a great little gift. You only need 50g of cotton yarn to make a set of six coasters.
The finished coaster has a diameter of 10 cm / 4 inch and, since we’re using cotton, it can easily be washed in the washing machine.
MATERIAL
Cotton that can be crocheted with a 3.00 mm needle.
Example one (colorful): Gründl Cotton Quick Print with a yardage of approx. 273 yards per 100 g. Six coasters can be made from a 50 g ball.
Example two (yellow): hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 Print with a yardage of approx. 350 yards per 100 g. Nine coasters can be made from a 50 g ball.
GAUGE
No gauge swatch is required for this small coaster. You can start directly and measure the size after the first two rounds. After the first two rounds, the coaster should measure approximately 3.3 cm / 1.3 inch in diameter.
