Chockalock is worked in continuous diagonal rows of stepped blocks that are either solid or open/filet. Make a dishcloth first to learn the technique before you tackle a blanket. Crochet until it is wide enough, then work even until it is long enough, and then fill in the corner. Then add a slightly ruffly, five round border to complete the blanket. Finished size was 33” wide x 35.5” long and used 1,150 yards of DK weight yarn with a size H (5 mm) crochet hook. You can make it any size you wish, with any weight of yarn, by changing the hook size to suit the yarn. The 6 page pattern has both written instructions and crochet charts for the body and the border of the blanket.
