«Chocolate crumbs» is a lightweight, all­over lace hat. It is great for cool or windy spring and summer days. Hat is worked seamlessly in the round from bottom up with circular needles. Begin by working some rounds in 1x1 twisted rib, then the lace pattern allows for a nice drape, and results in a beautiful crown. Skill level intermediate. This pattern includes both written instructions and charts in English only.
Yarn
Shown in SEAM Lambada Fine, 55% Mercerized cotton, 45% rayon, 185 yards per 50 g. Yardage ~40 g. Any similar yarn can be used.
Needle
US 1,5 (2.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) Circular/DPNs for ribbing.
US 4 (3,5 mm) 16” (40 cm) or 24” (60 cm) Circular/DPNs for lace.
US 4 (3,5 mm) 32” (80 cm) Circular/DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for crown shaping.
Gauge
24 sts x 33 rows = 4” (10 cm) square in St. st. on No3,5 mm needles after blocking.
Materials
Waste cotton yarn, crochet hook No4, stitch markers.
Sizes
One size, adult, head circumference 52­54 cm (US 20 1⁄2 ­ 21 1⁄4”).
