Our Chocolate Tweed Cowl is a very simple linen stitch cowl, worked in the round, in three colors of Cedar House Yarns Sapling Sock. These three colors -- Smoked Porter, Bark, and Cervidae -- are very close in tone and create a lovely striped cowl with a gradient effect.

If you want to use a different yarn, you will need roughly 350 yards each of three similar colors, or 1050 yards total of fingering/sock weight yarn.

The finished cowl measures 32” x 9.5” if made to gauge.

At fairlightfibers.com, you can purchase all three colors of Cedar House Sapling Sock, or you can pick out three new colors to make a similar cowl in green or blue or another gradient.
