This description is from the Choctaw Tribe:
The centerpiece of traditional dress for today’s Choctaw women is a colorful cotton dress that consists of a bodice with a fitted waist and a long, full skirt trimmed with ruffles. An apron of a contrasting color completes the outfit. This clothing is adapted from European designs of the 1700s and features applique or ribbonwork in the
traditional Choctaw motifs of the full or half-diamond.

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in Buff (body), Black (hair)
Knit Picks Brava Sport (or any #2 weight yarn or #3 light weight yarn like Baby Bee Sweet Delight by Hobby Lobby) in a Eggplant (Purple) and White (for Choctaw Dress), Brindle for Moccasins

Hook: 3.5mm/E hook, 4mm/G hook

Supplies: scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, tape measure,
fiber-fil, One 3/8” button, 6/0 beads for earrings, needle for beading, thread, 2 different colors of 3/16” ribbon for hair
