Yarn:
492 yds / 450 m color A and 197 yds / 180 m color B of Aran weight yarn.

Sample shawl was knitted using Lineapiu Group Morbido 60% Wool 40% Acrylic, 98 yds / 90 m in 1.76 oz / 50 g.

Yarn substitution:

You may use thinner yarn for your project, however aran, worsted or DK weight yarn would be the best choice.
Directions for the DK yarn are given in brackets.

Needles:

size 8 US / 5 mm circular needles with the cable over 40 in /100 cm length.

Additional:

crochet hook 8 US / 5 mm, 2 stitch markers.

Gauge

16 stitches and 28 rows in 4 in / 10 cm in garter stitch after blocking.

Gauge is not critical, but it may affect on shawl size. If you are using thinner yarn, the shawl may appear smaller than pictured sample. In this case it’s recommended to add one more striped section.
