Welcome to Choroš [xoroʃ]!

Choroš is a half-pi shawl knitted in garter stitch using three colours. There are a few rows of yarns held together, which makes them blend into each other.

Yarn
This shawl is knitted with fingering weight yarn. For the best results, you should use tweedy yarn, or at least heathered or semi-solid yarn. I wouldn’t use solid yarn.

I used Isager Tweed (200 m (219 yd) / 50 g), 70 % wool, 30 % mohair, which perfectly fills the stitches and help with the blending.

There are three colours used:
C1 (blue): 200 m (219 yd)
C2 (red): 395 m (432 yd)
C3 (grey): 128 m (140 yd)

Needles
circular 4 mm needles = US 6
circular 6 mm needles = US 10

Gauge
20 sts × 36 rows (10 × 10 cm) in garter stitch after blocking using smaller needles
Larger needles should be always 2 mm bigger.
Knit swatch using C3.
