This very generously sized Kimono/Ruana is an ideal cover up for those chilly days. Main sample was made with Stylecraft Candy Swirl.
It is worked from the back in one piece to the shoulders and then splits into two pieces and each front is worked separately.
Worked in double knit with a 12 row repeat it can be easily adapted to many different sizes. My version comfortably fits a UK size 22 but by reducing the initial chain in multiples of 25sts could be made child sized.
One pattern repeat of 25sts and 12 rows measures approx. 10cm x 13cm.
Any double knit yarn could be substituted, you could use all your leftovers and have a very colourful kimono, or work in one colour for a more subtle look.
