Who knew? Giraffes love hanging around for Christmas too. And since giraffes are from Africa, the symbols in the lower part of the stocking are also African.

The bigger symbol represents the power of love, and the smaller symbol represents mother earth. I chose the symbol for the power of love because this design was requested for someone who is getting married. And I chose the mother earth symbol because of the giraffe and its connection to nature.

This pattern is an intermediate level pattern. You will need to know how to do Duplicate stitch. The pattern has a picture tutorial on making duplicate stitches.

Warning! There are long yarn floats in this stocking. Be sure to review ways to handle long floats so that you are comfortable working with this pattern.
