Christmas Mini Sweater
Knit a charming Christmas Mini Sweater with this detailed step-by-step pattern! Perfect as a festive holiday tree ornament, advent calendar surprise, garland decoration, or a unique handmade gift box topper.
YARN RECOMMENDATIONS & ADAPTABILITY:
• This pattern is an ultimate stash-buster! It is an excellent way to use up your precious sock yarn leftovers and scraps from your collection.
• What yarn to use: YarnArt Jeans and any similar sport weight yarn are a perfect choice for this project. Standard 4-ply sock yarn leftovers also work wonderfully!
• The sample sweaters shown in the photos are knitted from various sock yarn leftovers from my personal stash.
• Highly adaptable: You can absolutely use ANY other yarn weight from your stash to create sweaters in various different sizes.
MATERIALS & TOOLS:
• Needles: US Size 1 (2.25 mm) circular needles (for Magic Loop) or a set of Double Pointed Needles (DPNs, 5 pcs) matching your chosen yarn.
• If using any other yarn weight from your stash, please select appropriate circular needles or DPNs that match your chosen yarn.
• Extras: Stitch holders (or contrasting color thread) and a tapestry needle to weave in ends.
FINISHED SIZE:
• Approx. 2.4 inches (6 cm) long (when using the recommended fingering yarn and 2.25 mm needles).
YARN CONSUMPTION:
• Ultra-low usage: Approx. 19 yards (5 g) PER SINGLE SWEATER.
• Note: The yardage listed in the specifications is calculated for one single sweater ornament.
GAUGE:
• 34 sts = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch. Note: Knitting tension is not critical for this project, but it will affect the final size.
INCLUDED IN THE PDF:
• Detailed, written row-by-row instructions in standard US terms.
• Process photos following each knitting step.
• Linked video tutorials for a smooth and stress-free knitting experience.
