Warm Woolen Mittens
(These are a Few of my Favourite Things!)

First in the Christmas Carol Critters Series!
These little mice in their warm woolen mittens would make lovely child-friendly Christmas ornaments or even mini stockings!
Just imagine waking up to this little friend hanging by your bed or on your tree with his mitten full of tiny treats!

Pattern is written in English and includes 5 pages of full instructions; a list of supplies and techniques required and abbreviations.

Yarn:
Mouse:

  • Less than 50gm of #3 light for body, head, outer ears, tail & limbs
  • Scraps of #2 for Face
  • Small amount of #2 for inner ears

Mitten, Scarf, Mitts, & Flowers:
Less than 50 gm of #2 light (a variegated or self-striping sock yarn is recommended)

Needles: Two 3.00mm straight, Two 3.25mm dpn

Skills required: Cast on/off, Knit, Purl, Decrease, Increase, Very basic embroidery, icord

Other Supplies: Stuffing, Beads (optional), Buttons (optional)

Abbreviations:
St - Stitch
K - Knit
P - Purl
K2tog - Knit 2 together
P2tog - Purl 2 together
St st - Stocking Stitch
Inc - Increase
K1b - Knit into the back of the stitch.
Skp - Slip 1 stitch, Knit 1 stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch.
WS - Wrong side
